A course on the formulation, analysis, and interpretation of advanced mathematical models in finance and interest theory. You will obtain a practical knowledge of the theory of interest in both discrete and continuous time. You will understand how these concepts are used in the various annuity functions, and will apply the concepts of present and accumulated value for the various streams of cash flows as a basis for use in reserving, valuation, pricing, asset/liability management, investment income, contingencies, and derivative modeling.
